A Women’s Health Check is a whole-body review tailored to your age, lifestyle, and individual risk factors. It’s a great way to take stock of your overall wellbeing and catch health issues early.
Menstrual and hormonal health review
Contraceptive or Menopausal Hormone Therapy (MHT) review
Blood pressure, weight, BMI, and heart health assessment
Blood tests as needed (cholesterol, blood sugar, iron, thyroid, vitamin D)
Cervical Screening Test (if due)
Breast health check and imaging referrals
Bone density and osteoporosis risk assessment
Lifestyle review (nutrition, sleep, mental health, physical activity)
Cervical cancer is one of the most preventable cancers. In Australia, women and people with a cervix aged 25–74 should have a Cervical Screening Test (CST) every 5 years, unless advised otherwise.
The test looks for human papillomavirus (HPV), which causes most cervical cancers
If HPV is found, further testing ensures early changes are managed before they become serious
The procedure is quick and usually only mildly uncomfortable
Self-collection is now available for many women, offering greater comfort and privacy
Detect health issues early, when they are easier to treat
Reduce the risk of serious illness through lifestyle and medical support
Gain peace of mind with a clear picture of your health
Preventive care is not about waiting for problems — it’s about staying one step ahead.
Breast cancer is the most common cancer affecting Australian women. Early detection can make a major difference.
Your GP can perform a physical breast exam and teach you how to check your breasts at home
Recommended every 2 years for women aged 50–74, free through BreastScreen Australia. Women aged 40–49 and 75+ may also access free screening
If you have symptoms such as lumps, skin changes, nipple discharge, or persistent pain, we can organise further imaging promptly
Whether it’s been a while since your last check, or you simply want reassurance, our GPs are here to help. A single appointment can cover a women’s health check, breast exam, and cervical screening — all in one visit.
